Supporting Flood Victims

Supporting Flood Victims

I didn’t relax and detach as planned on my recent vacation away. We inadvertently became trapped in a town in northern new south wales, as the flood waters last week stopped us from exiting on any of the highways. We also lost any internet connection and found ourselves relying on others to get all of our information.

My concerns were put into perspective when we started to meet people who had lost everything from the floods. They were checking into our hotel accommodation with nothing. They had lost everything. Their homes and all of their belongings.

When we received an update, that for a short period the highway further north was clear to travel until high tide, we quickly packed and safely escaped. Leaving behind our room for those who might need it and donating food that we purchased.

Seeing the floods and the impact was very stressful and overwhelming, so I will donate all proceeds from my book “Finding Your Well-BEing” to the Red Cross in Australia, who are currently supporting flood victims in both NSW and Queensland. Consider purchasing a paperback or digital copy of my book - https://www.coachuwellness.com...

Donations to the Qld and NSW Floods Appeal will help the Red Cross to provide vital humanitarian support to the people and communities affected by the floods. I will report on the proceeds donated at the end of each week.

You can also donate directly to the https://www.redcross.org.au/fl...

Thanking you for your support. Mary Mangos | Psychologist
