We can practice mindfulness throughout our everyday activities. One of my favourite practices involves my morning coffee. Rather than consuming it on autopilot, I take a few minutes to savour and appreciate it.
Some tips to support mindfulness with your coffee:
- Don’t think about your to do list.
- Think about your coffee.
- Feel the warm steam rising from your cup.
- Notice the aroma.
- Taste it.
- Notice the warmth and flavour.
Enjoy your time as a welcome break. It is an opportunity to slow down and reset.
