Leadership Trends for 2014

Leadership Trends for 2014

What are some trends that are been taught in business schools, by coaches and being implemented by Leaders:

1. MINDS - because our minds affect our performance we should work on:

  • avoiding ruminating or looping aback on what happened or what might happen. Instead try mindfulness meditation
  • increasing our positivity and positive emotions (see our blogs for strategies here)

2. DEVELOPMENT - consider developing yourself through coaching or stretch assignments to change how you think, not just what you know

3. STRENGTHS - focus on building relationships with your employees to identify their strengths

4. SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP - reviewing your culture and recruitment policies to ensure you support and do good in your community

5. STYLE - adopting a leadership style that encourages employees to contribute, collaborat and communicate
