Connect with a letter

Connect with a letter

There are so many benefits to writing down your thoughts in a letter and posting it to someone, in this age of email, text and messaging.

✅it shows how much you care
✅it can improve your mood and reduce your stress
✅it is an opportunity to mindfully focus and be in the present moment
✅they are often treasured and appreciated by others

Another important reason is that it can build relationships, connections with others and reduce loneliness.

I recently came across an amazing Australian organisation called @connected_au doing important work to reduce the isolation and loneliness of at-risk populations including senior Australians, people with disabilities, health conditions or those who live alone.

I have joined their “Letterbox Project”, sending letters to people in Australia who are identified as isolated and disconnected. I know personally, how amazing it was to write my first letter and connect with someone else. If you would like to join me, check out: https://www.connectedau.com.au . It is a wonderful way to support and connect with someone. Thank you @connected_au for this amazing project. Mary
